There You Go Colin
After knocking Cavaliers out of the cup, Colin said to
his men 'that we need to concentrate on the league
until after Christmas'.
Colin said that we need to get seven points out of nine
if we want a chance of finishing in the top third of the
league. So Colin started with the team that got the deserved
win again Cavaliers, which left Marcus on the sub bench.
Within about ten minutes Martin Swannell had given Notts
the lead with a simple tap in and Notts were on the road
for victory.
Twenty minutes later Dave makes a routine save with an
attacker coming head on the attacker didn't stop and
booted Dave in his head which left him with a gash on his
head so his new wife took him off to the hospital.
Andy Dickinson had to go in goal and that meant that Marcus
came on up front and Paul Atkinson went back into midfield.
The game re-started and not much happened apart from Paul
Atkinson getting a yellow card.
The second half started with Notts as the stronger team.
Paul Atkinson got the ball in his own half and sprayed it
out to the left to Wrighty, Wrighty went past the fullback
with ease and looked up and carried going down the wing
and then crossed the best ball of his career between defender
and goalkeeper and Marcus side-footed the ball home and
it was 2-0.
The Game restarted and Willo tackled the forward and chipped
the ball through to Marcus who took a shot as the keeper
was running out only to hit the cross bar and Willo pick
up the pieces and put the ball into the back of the net
to make it 3-0.
Woodborough kicked off again and their attack soon broke
down once again and Notts came back with a counter-attack,
which saw the ball in the back of the net only for the ref
to say that Marcus was offside.
Then Woodborough's keeper did a long kick from which
Speno flicked it back to Dicko who push it into his own
net 3-1.
Notts kicked off and where pushing for another goal to
kill the game off and then the ball came out to Marcus on
the edge of the box who took on three guys and then crossed
it with his left foot to Martin who scored his second of
the match 4-1.
Woodborough's heads went down and Paul Rudd made a
mazy run into the box only to get foul penalty.
Martin Swannell steps up for his first ever hat-trick at
this level and scored. 5-1 to Notts and in the last 10 minutes
Paul Atkinson got his second yellow of the match and was
sent off.
Good Victory for Notts. 2nd victory in the league.
