Three Points And We Could Go Second
Well, Notts knew this was going to be a hard game because
when we played them in the quarterfinal it took us 120 minutes
to win them.
So Colin talked about how to go at the game if we want
to beat them in 90 minutes so we listen and went out.
It was another windy day and impossible to play football
at times, the ref blew the whistle to start the game.
Ashland got off to a lively start create a few chances
but, Notts was defending well. Notts were just getting back
in the game when a flowing move from Ashland but them into
the lead 1-nil Ashland with about 25 minutes on the clock.
That how it finished in the first half with Notts having
one shot on goal the ref blew the whistle for half time.
In the second half with the wind Notts, they started to
excel and after some heavy pressure got a goal thru a unlikely
source called Chris Westerbury. Edwards did a long kick
out of his hand and Hall flicked it on with his shoulder
in the path of Chris who headed it forward and ran clear
thru into the box and struck the ball across the keeper
into the far corner.
The score all level at one all and Notts started to apply
pure pressure onto Ashland. Colin made a sub by taking of
Willo and put on Rosy and soon after Rudd skip pass one
player and then another and crossed the ball that beat both
keeper and Hall and Rosy step up to score and kick thin
air and missed the ball completely.
Soon after Notts got a throwing and Marcus took it quickly
to Rudd, who glided into the box only for a defender to
foul in the box PENATLY.
Jay Culligan step up and blasted the ball into the back
of the net beating the keeper with ease 2-1 Notts.
The Ref blew the final whistle soon after, cheers three
points.
