6 Points Out of Nine
After drilling Woodborough a beating Colin said that Bassingfield
would be a hard game because we never gave them a good trashing.
We only just win or draw a lot of games with them.
So lets just go out there and get three point lads that's
the aim in this game and no red cards Paul Atkinson it's
the chairman of all the ref today Mr. David Nunn.
The game was about to begin and Colin told his wingbacks
to watch out for Mark Chettle.
The game kicked off and after a shaky ten minutes Willo
scored a easy tap in from about 2 yards and then turned
to the keeper and said cheers 0-1 to Notts.
Then there were chances for each team and the best chances
came to Bassingfield but they could not convert any of their
chances.
Very late on in the first half when the defence was under
a lot of pressure Dave Edward scream 'keepers'
and took his time to collect the ball in within a flash
the ball was in the back of the net. Dave was unsighted
from the attacker coming in on his offside.
The ref blew up for half time. The second half started
pretty much like the end of the first half, Notts were under
a bit of pressure but the Notts defense was soaking up the
pressure.
Marcus and Dean was trying to keep the ball up in the Bassingfield's
half whilst the midfield would come and support, whilst
doing this Dean took a knock so Colin subbed Dean off and
put Andy Dickinson on and Paul Atkinson went up front.
Within about ten minutes Notts started to get a grip on
the game. Out on the left side of the pitch Wrighty was
taking a quick throw in and he picked out Marcus on the
edge of the box, he glided pass two defenders and curled
a hard low shot to the bottom right corner the Bassingfield
keeper did not see the ball till late because it came thru
a crowd of people the keeper at full stretch thought he
had it covered only to hear the ball hit the inside of the
post and go in 1-2 Notts.
Bassingfield raised their game but could only manage to
hit the crossbar and Notts get their third victory of the
campaign.
