Three Points And We Stay Second
Another cold and wind Saturday afternoon and the lads turn
up to play football.
Well Colin was happy because we had creped up to second
from being bottom for about five weeks.
So the team talk was very positive and to the point. So
we got out there and warmed up and got focused for the match.
The Game started and Notts were very positive and Magdala
were very shocked they had the wind with them and they knew
they needed a goal to stand a chance but Notts defence was
solid like a rock and wasn't letting anyone pass and in
the first half
Notts look the more likely to score with chances falling
to Atko and Hall who produced saves from the keeper or just
went wide.
That was the action for the first half and the ref blew
his whistle.
Colin was very happy with the performance and said that
we need a early goal and then Magdala would fold.
Within a matter of minutes of the second half Notts got
a corner. Marcus swung in a cross that Speno met with some
force and it was 1-nil to Notts and the Spencer's were over
joy and Daz screamed off "Come Boyz".
After that Notts just went at Magdala and Willo did as
well and some time later Willo wrapped it up with a gift
goal from the to make it 2-nil.
What a victory and Notts stay second could they keep the
good work in the next game with Racing Athletic.
