| Well on a hot Saturday
afternoon we all turn up at Grove Farm to play SFS, everyone
was joy because the sun was out. But, Colin wanted our heads
to be on the game so he told us all to get ready and to warm
up properly after playing on a hard pitch during the week
to make sure that all our muscles warm.
Anyway back to business SFS chose the smallest football
pitch they could find to try and beat us but it just did
work within the opening minute Marcus was gifted a easy
chance with his head and missed the ball completely. Then
minutes later a delightful through ball by the skipper but,
Marcus clean thru on goal and he just waited for the keeper
to commit himself and buried it near post one nil Notts.
SFS kicked off and Notts went on a rampage with chances
being missed but just before halftime Marcus did some wonderful
skill down the line and sent a cross into Willo that beat
the last defender. Willo simple brought the ball down and
pass it into the net two nil Notts, ref blew for halftime.
Colin at halftime was over the moon with our display and
simple said keep up the good work. The second half begun
and Notts started from where ended in the first half, early
on in the second half it looked like Notts where going to
get a third and they did just ten minutes in. There some
more silky skills from Marcus in the box and crossed a ball
in that the keeper could only punch as far as Jay Culligan
who kneed it into the empty net three nil Notts.
Colin decided to put on Tony Dicko and Richard Shaw and
within 15 minutes Tony Dicko had scored after a shot by
Atko could only be parried Dicko was there to head it home
four nil Notts and the goal scoring stop there.
