The Whole Of Wollaton
Well we all arrived on time and beat the traffic so we
went in our allocated shed and got changed. Whilst getting
changed Colin said you could be play any of the Wollaton
team tonight so go out there and show them who's boss and
get three points.
The ref blew to start the game and instantly Notts were
on the attack and within about five minutes Marcus made
a speedy run down the wing and crossed it in the box only
to see a defender clear it with his head. Then as the game
progress Notts started to get into their stride and before
long Marcus had scored a simple tap in. The Ball got chipped
in by Jay and Marcus ran onto it and just beat the keeper
to the ball and then stretched to poke the ball home one
nil Notts. Straight from kick-off Wollaton went on an attack
only for Edwards to save the ball with his feet. Not much
happen after that and the ref blew for halftime.
At halftime Colin was happy that we went in one nil up
and said he thinks we have started this game at to fast
a tempo and could we last the 90 minutes.
So the second half started and Notts kept up the fast pace
that Wollaton could keep up with and after 15 minutes Atko
took a shot that flew pass the keeper only to see Paul Rudd
nose the ball into the back of the net two nil Notts. Wollaton
kicked off and Notts kept pressing them and Wollaton kept
battling but in the end Notts were just to powerful for
Wollaton after some silky skills in the middle of the park
from Marcus and a delightful ball over the top to Jay Culligan
who was running down the left wing. Who took the ball down
sweetly in one swift move and then passed the ball into
the far right-hand corner of the goal three nil. After that
Colin started to make subs and brought on Martin, Dicko
& Richard Shaw.
