Notts On A Roll
Darren spoke to some players early to get them on their
game. Colin asked for everyone to be at the ground 12:45
because we needed to have a chat. It was the biggest game
of the season for Notts if they were to stand any chance
of winning the league.
The game started and for one half Notts kept Cav's at bay
and had a chance to go one nil up but like the penalty last
week Marcus skied it. Then out the blue Chris was tracking
back and stuck a foot in and scored a wonder goal into his
own net one nil Cav's, the ref blew for half time.
Colin was happy with the first half performance but he
said this is where it counts lads because in the second
half you go to sleep. For about half an hour Notts was battling
with Cav's and Willo had a glorious chance to make it one
all but it over the bar from about three yards out as he
tried to lift ball over rushing keeper's hand. Soon after
that Gavin scored Cav's, he went pass three players and
scored at the near post as the ball deflected off Speno's
shoulder two nil Cav's.
Soon after Adey had to come off because of his hamstrings
and Dave Smith came on. Ten minutes later Chris Joseph scored
for Cav's with a header into the roof of the net three nil
Cav's. Soon after Jay scored for Notts with a head from
a free kick three one. Then super sub Ricketts scored in
the last minutes for Cav's to make four one.
