To The Mangers Delight
First game of the season and couldn't you tell, everyone
turned up on time. Colin was delighted that everyone made
an effort. Colin started off by telling the tactics and
the team selection. Everything was sorted and the game was
about to begin.
The game kicked off and straight away Notts got straight
into Bassingfield and were the quickest to the ball. Before
long Notts carved a few chances but to no avail. But, then
a sweeping attack that started in Notts own half with Chris
laying the ball to Jay who carried it pass one man then
crossed it to Ruddy who played a delight ball to Atko thru
two defenders and Atko placed the ball into the back of
the net 1-0 Notts. Atko shouts to the defenders its
all about my nice new CREAM Adidas Pred's
Come on!!
Bassingfield kicked off and they were under relentless
pressure from Notts and after about 15 minutes Notts got
another one. A Bassingfield defender got a clearance as
far as Adey Wilson who laid it to Marcus who got tackled
and then won it back and Jay picked up the pieces and sprayed
at ball wide to Willo who crossed the ball into the far
post to Atko. The keeper and Atko both missed the ball and
the ball was in the back of the net 2-0 Notts, the
ref blew for halftime minutes after Bassingfield kicked
off.
At halftime Colin was happy and said keep up the good work.
The second half started like the first and Bassingfield
were starting to tire, but not Notts after Bassingfield
keeper tried a quick kick, which was cut out by Speno who
headed it up the line for Marcus to chase. Marcus kept the
ball in and whipped a ball to the far post that beat the
keeper and to EVERYONE'S SURPRISE MR DEAN WILSON HEADED
THE BALL INTO THE ROOF OF THE NET 3-0 Notts
and still no reply from Bassingfield.
They kicked off again and Marcus and the rest of the team
were taking the piss out of Bassingfield, Atko tried to
play the ball to Willo but the defender headed the ball
into Marcus' path, who brought it down and another Bassingfield
defender sliced the ball it bounced and spun straight into
Ruddy's path and he volleyed it into the back of the net
4-0 Notts, game done see you next time.
