MRA V's MAA (The Battle)
After getting the fines out the way and sorting the nets
& the flags out, Colin got down to business. He rested
the central midfielders bar Jay Culligan and put in the
new boys John Smalley and Stephen Bell.
The Game began and Notts started to terrorise Siemens and
before Siemens could get into the game it was 1-0 Notts.
It was a wonderful ball across the field to Willo by John
Smalley the new lad and Willo simply went past one defender
and hit the shot hard and low, the keeper managed to get
a hand but could not keep it out.
Siemens kick off and still shocked from being 1-0 down
tried to press Notts but to no avail. After an attack broke
down for Siemens Dave launched a quick ball down to Marcus
who anticipated the bounce that went over the defender and
slotted the ball past the keeper into an empty net 2-0
Notts, ref blew for halftime.
Colin was pissed off because we hadn't scored more and
said he would not be happy unless we scored more, the second
half was about to begin.
Siemens came out of the starting blocks first and immediately
went on an all out assault on Notts goal, but big Dave Edwards
stop everything with the help of the famous back three.
Then Notts went on a counter attacker with Ruddy who pass
the ball to Willo who went past one and laid the ball to
John, then John crossed the ball first time to the far post
where Jay Culligan smashed the ball across the keeper into
the far corner 3-0 Notts and Colin was happy now
the game was over and done with.
