Nottinghamshire FC's first ever league fixture in the NSL turned out to be a thumping win, but for the first 45 minutes the green and whites had to battle for supremacy and the home side fought hard in an opening half that saw some over robust tackles flying.
Kicking down the slope in the second half, Notts pressed home their advantage early on after the break as Lewis Atkinson pounced to give Notts the lead. This was very soon doubled and the home side capitualted somewhat after this as Notts went on to net three more times through Stasic, Rose, Johnson and Atkinson again.
Linby claimed a late consolation and Notts were left to feel rightfully good about their successful NSL debut. |
