Finally a win! Notts battled hard in this game. It wasn’t the best football that they have played over the last few weeks but a scrappy win was essential to build on the impressive result at Beacon last week.
Notts were always ahead on goal tally in the game although United kept the deficit low in the timing of their goals.

Rehd made impressive runs and caused their defence problems. United’s goals came about though daft errors – story of our season! However Notts held on for a good victory. 4 points out of 6 was our best run in many, many weeks.

The story of the day was when Andy Johnson had to confess to Groves and Errington that their bags were locked in his car . . . . .with the keys!
Johno’s little boy (crying at this point after a telling off from Dad) had managed to leave the radio on, keys in ignition AND lock the door!

We had no choice but to smash the back window. Dyce’s attempts were unsuccessful. Up stepped Iain Randle who managed to break in. Randle the Vandle, has a nice ring to it, don’t you think!?!
