Sex, Lies And Video Tape Evidence

The Column That Brings You “The Truth” About The Footballers Of Nottinghamshire F.C.

Anyone who has had a look at our great website might have explored the "forum" section where players can exchange views and voice their opinions on club matters.

It seems that our website is read avidly by players and officials from other clubs in the MAA too if recent evidence is anything to go by.

After Notts Twos home game with Derby Amateurs in February, the match report that was posted on the site was greeted by a tirade of abuse from Derby officials claiming that it was ‘biased’. The fact that this is OUR website,, with reports written for OUR players, seems to have got lost somewhere.

The main complaint led from the assertion that Derby had strengthened their side with first team players as their Ones had their game called off that morning.

First to ‘have a go’ was the 1st XI manager who “categorically stated….” in finger wagging tones. He was followed by second XI captain Dave Grummett, who complimented the club on the website, but wanted to point out the facts — fair enough.

Some pleasant banter has followed and Derby were invited to write their own report on the return fixture (which Derby won 1-0). Perhaps the most interesting factor was that the Derby side who played in the return game, had several players missing from the initial game. No doubt our ‘friends’ from across the border have had a spate of injuries recently!

At the above mentioned Notts/Derby re-match, second XI manager Tim Salmon was informed by his team that a strange man called ‘Dave’ had been into the changing rooms asking for him. When the players asked why he wanted to see Tim, ‘Dave’ replied that he "had met Tim on the internet".

Now we all know the dangers of meeting people in such circumstances, but Mr Salmon is happy to reassure everyone concerned that he is quite safe and hasn’t been ’sheep shagged’.

News of an ex player. Our glorious secretary Nick Dracott works shifts which often exposes himself to the delights of daytime television. While Nick was watching his favourite show ’Bargain Hunt’ he was amazed to see ex Nottinghamshire player and college lecturer, Gary Watt bidding for lots.

Last seen, the grinning Gary was manager of a ladies football team which allowed him to get ’closer to the action’!

CONGRATULATIONS to Neil Mitchell (and to Andy "bastard’s won it twice" Newham) for winning our biggest ever Blotto pot.

When the two winners got their last balls out of the machine (?) the pot was up to an impressive 243 quid.

Both players scooped 121.50 each. Drinks all round!
